Updated

Events remain private until they are published. You can therefore prepare the event page, ticket availability, and operational settings before opening sales.

Create the event

Open Events in the dashboard and select New event. The creation flow asks you to choose an admission model before entering the event details:

  • Regular supports ticket types with defined prices and inventory. Buyers do not select a specific seat.
  • Seated (Beta) allows buyers to select bookable objects from an attached venue layout.

Next, provide the title, category, URL slug, structured address, start and end times, and currency. You can also add a performer and public description. Review the summary before creating the draft.

The event mode, URL slug, currency, start time, and end time cannot be changed through the dashboard after creation. The slug is generated from the title initially, but it can be adjusted while you are still in the creation flow. Confirm these details carefully before continuing.

Prepare ticket availability

A Regular event requires at least one ticket type before publication. Each ticket type needs a name, price, and inventory. Optional controls include a sales window, per-order limit, badge, description, and customer-facing perks.

A Seated event requires an attached venue and a seating map with configured bookable objects. Review the venue layout and pricing before publishing because the event uses that configuration for buyer selection.

Both event modes require a complete address, including locality and country. Review the description, artwork, location, schedule, and admission information from a buyer's perspective.

Publish the event

An organisation Admin can select Publish when the configuration is complete. Publication makes the event page public, and eligible inventory becomes purchasable as soon as its sales window is open.

If a draft Guestlist contains pending complimentary guests, publication also creates their orders and tickets. Publication will stop if the selected ticket types no longer have enough capacity for those guests. Resolve the inventory issue and publish again.

You can continue to update supported content and sales settings after publication. See Publish and unpublish events for the fields and restrictions that apply.
